今天因为早上起晚了，赶着去学校，所以听写只能晚上下课之后再进行了。这就是为什么Hugh总是在早上5点多起床，看看英语新闻，练习听写的原因了。今天把第一段中的“准时”去掉了，真是不好意思啊！先说些废话，下面就是总结部分了。
简单总结，今天的慢速VOA中，依然没有太多的困难，但是在听写的正确率上应该提高，一些小的时态还是会犯错误，以及单复数，这里不仅仅是听，还应该根据情况来判断。今天的标准VOA当中，主要是关于美国大选总统候选人的问题，所以能够学到不少与此相关的词汇。包括候选人的名字，总统候选人提名，竞争对手，集会等 。不过在标准语速下听写，经常出现认识的词听不出来，还容易犯的错误就是在that, has, had上面，哎……

The stoves are designed to have a lifetime of up to 3 years, at a cost of about 15 dollars. After India, the plan is to market them to China and Brazil, and to other countries around the world. Envirofit expects 25,000,000 dollars from the Shell Foundation and other donors over the next 5 years to support its efforts.
Nongovernmental organizations and local stores in some cases will sell the stoves in villiges. The price in different countries will be based on demand and local economic conditions. Martha Kohlhagan says Envirofit will also work with local micro-ending organiztions to help support the sale of the stoves.
Envirofit says it will use any future profit from the stoves for further research and development. The group wants to develop combination technology to be able to use energy from the cook stove to provide things like heat or light.
Two students at Colorado State University, Tim Bauer and Nathan Lorenz started Envirofit International in 2003. The group has ties to the university. Envirofit developed from research work in the Engines and Energy Conversion Labratory at Colarado State.

Secretary of State Rice expressed regret about the incidents in phone calls to to all three presidential candidates, including Senator Obama.
“And I told him that I, myself, would be very disturbed if I had learned that somebody had looked into my passport file, and therefore, I will stay on top of it and get to bottom of it.”
The State Department is responsible for issuing passports in the United State. Passport files usually contain personal identity information, and may including information about countries the person has travelled to.
State Department officials became aware of the breaches from a computer monitering system that flags attempt to access the passport files of high profile people, like politicians and celebrities.
Meanwhile, on the presidential campaign trail, Senator Obama got a boost Friday when one of his former rivals, New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, endorsed him during a campaign rally in Portland, Oregon
